Sitting here watching the Ohio State / Indiana basketball game on TV. Youngest daughter is there, eight rows behind the IU bench. This is after participating in a all night charity fundraiser . Buckeyethon is a 17 hour danceathon, started with 900 kids, maybe half made it all the way through to the end, they raised $200,000. She has not slept since friday night. Can you imagine what you could get done if you could still pull that kind of thing off ? Me, I go out and rake hickory nut hulls up out in the yard for three hours and I'm sitting here with ice on my knee and enough pain killers to kill a horse. Youth, enjoy it while you can.

yah like you said Im young and couldnt do it...I think Im young? after waitressing in SIL's restaurant all weekend Im not feeling so young-I ache everywhere!

I'm fuming about that tigtoy person. Cheryl posted that they live in Canada and wouldn't have been able to accept the birds anyway. Even though it isn't my problem...it still irks me to no end!

Your irked for the same reasons I am. Our group spends a lot of time and money in the auctions bidding, buying, and selling. That was a bad situation all around. A $10 or $20 bid increase isn't that bad, but $300+ dollars is a big chunk of change. The person should never have bid like that. It puts the seller and the winning bidder in a really bad place. The winner in all fairness shouldn't have to pay that amount. At the same time, that's what the auction went for, and what she bid it to. However, the fact that the person who tried to retract the bid couldn't even take shipment on the auctioned item throws a whole other twist into it. The seller is expecting that amount of money for them, and shouldn't have to drop his fee down, especially when the birds are probably worth that. I wish that the auctions here had a block feature that the seller could enable to retract a bid and to keep someone from bidding, like ebay does.

I wonder if that is why they tried to pull their bid(s) ?

IDK Gary-it all looked rank to me-for a new person to jump in and bid 1000$???? and then retract nope dont have a good feeling about it! I dont want to get in trouble about my true opinion so ILl shut it now

That very well could be. And it might be worth our time to add a short line in the auction that we will ship to a USA address only, or possibly to lower 48 only. Is there any different regs on shipping to AK or HI?
