I don't really remember (sorry), but I do know that it was from a green egg. I think you had sent some Jersey Giant crosses and Leghorn crosses but none of those hatched.
When he hatched hw was just a chipmunky looking chick, as he grew he bagan developing the columbian look and a little later he started getting the red. After he was moved in with some girls and all the roosters gone he began turning blue in his wings and his tail feathers.
Right now I have him with non-EE girls. After a hatch I'll move him around to the EE girls.
I do have a few of his babies now, they will be 2 weeks tomorrow. I think I may be gettting some that will look like him.
Too bad you didnt get any JG or LH crosses, The JG/EEs are huge, kept 2 hens, both blue, they lay medium olive eggs. and the LH/EE is white, she lays a huge pale blue eggs. Thinking about putting a few EEs in with the JGs to hatch some more out. The Leghorn is with the Anconas now, but I added some Buff laced Polish pullets to the EE pen, wonder what they will look like, hopefully they will start laying soon.
These are the JG/EEs, taking when they where about 6 months old, I think.

Oh exciting! I've been planning to set my green eggs in the next few weeks or so. This just gives me a reason and a deadline!
I have an EE roo over several EEs, Blue Ameraucanas, and 1 JG. I wasn't planning to set any JG eggs, but after reading, maybe I should consider it? The egg won't be green though.
Why won't the egg be green? I would think an EE Roo over a JG would make a mint colored egg…at least one could hope. Some of my eggs:
Yes, my JG lays a brown egg, but the chick that hatched would eventually lay a green egg. I just meant I'd have to set a brown egg in the green egg hatchalong.
I do have some green eggs, but...I have some dark brown eggs that I'll be putting in also. I have two roosters that are from a Wheaten Ameraucana Rooster over a PlymouthRock/Wheaten Marans cross Hen, but both have weird single combs and I wanna see what they'll produce.
Woohoo! Picked up 5 "green eggers" yesterday. Lady just said they lay green eggs, I didnt ask her how dark. Look like they maybe olive eggers, most have feathered legs. I got a splash wheaton rooster, a splash and a blue wheaton hen, and a black and a blue hen. She had a swesome looking blue wheaton roo, but I liked the splash better.
I'll post a pic when I get home, hoping they lay olive eggs, hopefully they'll be laying in time for the set date
