Do I stack them at an angle or fairly tightly kept absolutely upright? Do I need to make sure the air cell is directly up? Is halfway through day 18 ok to do it or wait until the end of the day?

Sometimes pictures help [IMG] Big end up and make sure you cut the bottoms out of the cups for good air flow. HAPPY HATCHING! [IMG]

Cutting the bottom out really isn't necessary. I've hatched lots of eggs out in cartons (just had 25 of 27 hatch) and I've never cut the bottoms out.

Quote:Do you have a still air or forced air incubator? I think that would make the difference. The air is just not going to circulate around the eggs in a still air incubator the way it would with a forced air. It could not hurt to cut the bottoms out if you have a still air incubator.
