Staggered hatch, will hen stay on eggs?

We are first time brooders with a first time broody mamma, only 10 months old. We weren't ready when she first went broody, and now we have eggs with dates 5/1, 5/4 and 5/7. Will she stay on the eggs after the first bunch hatch? We have an incubator so we can do any that get left behind. But she has been extremely dedicated and seems to have an intuition about her eggs. She has been more alert and animated today and yesterday (lockdown date for the first eggs).

Most hens will stay on for three days after the first hatch. But every hen is different so I don’t know what yours will do, I would say just to watch her see. Good luck with the hach!

If she stays on long enuf to hatch eggs a week apart, she won’t be able to take care of the first chicks who need to leave the nest to eat and drink. I don’t think it will work. I had a broody abandon a late egg that was just 2 days behind. It was peeping and pipped but she was adamant about being over it.
