Stampled Grass

    Anyway to bring my grass back with foraging chickens? There ain't much left. We are considering adding a lawn on the other side of the coop and letting them ruin that side while the other side gets new sod. Ideas?

    I'm in San Diego.

    Rotating areas is a great idea. Also you might want to find a different strain of grass that can stand up to constant chicken abuse.

    Using bagged grass from a lawnmower has caused some to report problems with impacted crops. I agree with finding a breed of grass that can handle high traffic and rotating where the birds are allowed to go.
