A "Utility Breed" is a general term that just refers to any dual purpose breed (meat & eggs).
-- "standard" is a term referring to the description of an ideal specimen for its breed -- a chicken that conforms to the written description given in the APA's Standard of Perfection (SOP)-- (erroneously, people will call a Large Fowl a "standard-size chicken" vs. a bantam size).
In the APA's SOP:
the Large Fowl Polish is in the Continental Class.
A Bantam Polish is shown in the AOOCL (All Other Combs Clean Legged) Bantams Class.
A Large Fowl Cochin is shown in the Asiatic Class.
A Bantam Cochin is shown in the Feather Legged Bantams Class.
This is how the APA groups them. I do not know how your fair will group them.
