Standard Cochins..Setting 8-2-09

Just set 13 standard cochins eggs. These are from my own flock. My last hatch was pretty bad with shipped eggs. Only 2 of 15 hatched so I should do much better with these.

I wish I had know I have bee serching for Cochin's standard for months. I finally bought eggs from eggbid. Let me know when your selling.

I just set 15 of my eggs in the bator this evening.

I have various breeds of hens and of my 3 roos, the Cochin seems to be the most active, so I hope a certain percentage of these chicks will be his. I'm especially hoping that one of the EE eggs was fertilized by him. How cool would that be, a green egg laying, feather-footed hen.

i set 9 this morning and am setting another 2 doz tomorrow afternoon! YAY!

I set 8 duck eggs one double yolker....

I just added 12 bantam cochin in to the mix. No use wasting power for just 12 right when you can do 24.
