I would like to purchase about six pretty standard sized hens of different colors and/or patternsThey can be pure bred or mixes. Breed not important really but I would prefer a gold laced and silver laced to be two of the hens I get. I just want unusual colors and patterns for my little flock. I would like for them to be experienced mothers or old enough to be laying and brooding well. I also am looking for two beautiful roosters. I love the Wellsummer pattern, blues, any unusual pattern. Looking different breeds/colors and will provide them with a loving home until they pass on from old age. My chickens are spoiled and get the best food, heat/air conditioning and treats and lots of handling. I am located in VA but willing to travel a few hours if needed or ship them in.

I have a few hens that I need to sell, I have too many now. I started these as chicks from a family friend, and they are nice looking. I have two that are silver laced, and another that is a golden laced, rhode island red cross. Pm me if you are interested.

Quote:Not sure if I can drive that far now, but we do go down to Jacksonville regularly to visit family. I take it shipping is a bad idea? I have shipped puppies but not chickens so I do not know how they are handled.

I have two adorable young roos to rehome. See my ad in chickens for sale VA. I'd give them to you for free if you want them.
Only thing is they are bantam sized, not standard. wonderful temperament and very beautiful. Tail feathers are just coming in.
they love to be petted under their chin. [IMG] One is Beatrice ([IMG]) and the other is Gus-Gus.
