I have posted a few other topics trying to figure out what is wrong with my Molly.

She is standing with her tail feathers now on the ground, more than in this picture (picture is a week old). She is not egg bound, she has been like this for over a week now. I gave her antibiotics for a week and it turned her comb back to the normal pink color it usually is.

I have tried now 3 times to drain fluid from her because I thought she had fluid built up inside of her, all I could get was 15ml of yellow fluid, then nothing. I tried a few different area's to drain what I thought was fluid and just got blood and very little of that too, I only stuck the needle in less than a 1/2 inch at an angle toward the skin. She doesn't feel hot to the touch and her skin looks normal under all the feathers, no feathers have fallen out either.

Her belly feels more firm than squishy and it is basically where her legs are and up toward her crop, which feels empty every morning, from the pictures it seems more like where her liver would be, but I can't get fluid out just a little blood. One other thing, her breastbone is sticking out so she is loosing her muscle tone

She eats and drinks normal (and for her it's a lot) and her poop seems normal too. She doesn't act sick at all just the penguin stance. She hasn't laid an egg since the first week in October last year. She hasn't acted like she wanted to either (not squatting or trying to get in the nesting boxes).

I have read a lot on here trying to figure out what it might be but just about everything suggest she should have a large amount of fluid inside her and she doesn't. She still seems pretty active, just sits like this.

I think she would like to go back in the coop with the others, there is one that has assumed top hen and picks on her a little bit and I know she can't get up on the roosting bar anymore, when I brought her inside she was sleeping on the floor of the coop.

Should I return her to the coop with her friends? Anyone have any idea's on what could be wrong with her? Other than her standing like this she seems normal

I was going to agree with Eggcessive, but my hen that died of yolk perionitis or internal laying was not eating or drinking and was very thin. I noticed something was wrong with my hen when she would be by herself all the time (in the coop, in far away corners) and when the other hens started pecking on her real badly.

I'd take a wait and see approach, especially if she is otherwise acting like a normal chicken, eating, drinking and generally having a good time. There may be nothing wrong with her. Observe and assess in a week or so.

granny hatchet: I stuck her with the needle & syringe since in a few spots did feel a little squishy and when I posted before about Molly some had suggested it could be "ascites" and I did get 15ml of yellowish fluid from her, but that was it. The white you see is she has had a little bit of diarrhea (runny poop) a few times and it came from that. She has been wormed.

Eggcessive: Thank you, I do have a feeling it could be either internal laying or cancer, I'm leaning more toward cancer. The strange thing about her is that she is eating normally and a lot, she loves mil worms (of course) and I did give her some yogurt with a bit of some tums (I've read it's good for the calcium) and she ate a bit of that.
The antibiotics did help that I gave her for the week since her comb was a blueish/purple and after the week it is now a normal pink.

Fiddlebanshee: Molly is acting similar to that in the dog kennel she is in, she goes to the corner and stands there almost like pressed up against the kennel. But she eats & drinks water.
This is why it is so hard, I could understand it if she wasn't interested in food but she is

She has been like this for over a week now, so I will give her a bit longer.

Always seems to happen on a weekend when no vet is open

(brought her inside on a friday evening)

I'll see on Monday if I can find a vet that would euthanize her if/when she is getting worse.

Thank you all for your help, this is my second hen that is having problems, I lost my Sarah RIR last year and never knew what happened to her.

Oh and all my hens will be 3 years old in June.

It looks like she has something heavy in her abdomen and she is seeking to balance herself against something. My hen did the same, with the waterer, the feeder, whatever could prop her up. So she probably has some mass inside her, if she has been laying, it's not internal laying, if she has not -- it could be. It could also be cancer. In both cases, I think there is not much that you can do for her. Eventually she'll stop eating and drinking and she'll pass away.

Bring her to a vet, if you have anyone that will see her. I didn't, so I euthanized her myself, when it was very apparent that she was not getting better, and I also performed a necropsy, that's how I eventually knew what caused her death. She did have a lot of fluid in her abdomen, though.

It's only been the last few days that she is using the corner of the kennel to hold herself up with. She hasn't laid for over 6 months and her comb isn't red like when she was laying last year. Her comb is starting to look a bit pale color pink. She does act like she has a large mass of something inside her, wish there was a vet open on the weekend

but in this small town none are open. But I will be calling every vet up here to see if there is any that will help.
I don't want her to suffer and with her trying to prop herself up sure doesn't sound good

If/when I do have her euthanized I think I will try a necropsy just to see what she has inside her, I know it may help someone else someday.
