I have posted a few other topics trying to figure out what is wrong with my Molly.
She is standing with her tail feathers now on the ground, more than in this picture (picture is a week old). She is not egg bound, she has been like this for over a week now. I gave her antibiotics for a week and it turned her comb back to the normal pink color it usually is.
I have tried now 3 times to drain fluid from her because I thought she had fluid built up inside of her, all I could get was 15ml of yellow fluid, then nothing. I tried a few different area's to drain what I thought was fluid and just got blood and very little of that too, I only stuck the needle in less than a 1/2 inch at an angle toward the skin. She doesn't feel hot to the touch and her skin looks normal under all the feathers, no feathers have fallen out either.
Her belly feels more firm than squishy and it is basically where her legs are and up toward her crop, which feels empty every morning, from the pictures it seems more like where her liver would be, but I can't get fluid out just a little blood. One other thing, her breastbone is sticking out so she is loosing her muscle tone
She eats and drinks normal (and for her it's a lot) and her poop seems normal too. She doesn't act sick at all just the penguin stance. She hasn't laid an egg since the first week in October last year. She hasn't acted like she wanted to either (not squatting or trying to get in the nesting boxes).
I have read a lot on here trying to figure out what it might be but just about everything suggest she should have a large amount of fluid inside her and she doesn't. She still seems pretty active, just sits like this.
I think she would like to go back in the coop with the others, there is one that has assumed top hen and picks on her a little bit and I know she can't get up on the roosting bar anymore, when I brought her inside she was sleeping on the floor of the coop.
Should I return her to the coop with her friends? Anyone have any idea's on what could be wrong with her? Other than her standing like this she seems normal
