Star gazing.

We live just outside a tiny little town in the middle of nowhere - we see the sky in all its glory (when there are no clouds) its beautiful

Where I live now, I can't look at the stars unless I drive a few miles out. When I used to live with my parents, I at least took a glance at the stars every time I went outside, every once in a while I'd look up at them for a few minutes.

From that picture, I guess nobody in Japan has seen a star

OH how I remember star gazing back in Los Angeles in the late 50's early 60's.bet you can't do that now........my dad took me on one of his business trips to Az once...went through the desert and stopped at night, pulled the cot out and had me lay down with eye's closed ,then said okay....look !

it was the prettiest thing I had ever seen...so so many big beautiful sparkling stars.........now I live in the country, we do have a bit of light pollution with the street lamps in our yard....but so glad I can go out and still see them

I love it. We live on a small mountain surrounded by higher mountains, sort of like a pile of sand in the middle of a bowl. Without the pollution or city lights, we can see that beautiful sky in the winter and we love it. We are thinking about extending the uncovered part of our deck just so we can have a "stargazing platform".

I grew up in the country, and have always lived in the country. I don't think anyone could make a city girl out of me, I love the little things, like star gazing way too much.

In the summer when all the kids are here, we will lay out in the backyard and just look up at the stars. There are only two lights around us, one elderly lady had a street lamp put in that she paid for, so she can see at night when she has to be out, and the other is a street light out by a neighbors barn. Those really don't bother us and our star gazing though. I think it is great family time to just sit and stare.

Not me! I live in the city and never see much in the way of stars unless I go camping. This time of year, that ain't happening.

I love star-gazing, especially right after a storm has moved through and the air is cold and crisp. The night-sky is absolutely amazing! Everything seems so much more brighter and bigger!

I do have a guard light (or yard light as some call them) in my yard, but if I get in the right spot the house will sheild the light from obscuring the view. I live out in the very rural southeastern Oklahoma area.
