Starlight Green Egger

Here’s the tank I got mine from. I’m amazed at all the different color patterns! Hopefully it wasn’t a mix up because mine looks more similar to a welsummer!
I dont think so. I actually thought maybe my dark one was a mix up since there were only two left when I got them and all the pictures I saw were the lighter one. I actually posted about asking what she might be and someone told me maybe wellsummer. But I am pretty sure based on what Ive seen now, shes a starlight.

The dark brown chick is her when we got her. The middle one is our cinnamon queen.

Thats so funny! Thank you for sharing your genetics research! We cant have any roos, but I think it would be so neat to breed and see how the offspring change with different breeds. It seems like most of the starlights (based on google images and feedback) that most of them display the red and white patterning. I included the praire bluebell image from hoover earlier in the comments. I ended up with the darker color and the lighter color chicks that displayed the two different bluebell colorings. I wonder if it is possible (depending on the brown egg layer used) to get the gray coloration in a starlight.

Interesting finding, our cinnamon queens are cross between RIR and a SLW... they both have red feathers primarily, but the fluffy underlayer is gray from their momma. And one of them most have got more genetics from her momma bc she got the black lacing and rose comb whereas the other one didnt.

Its all so interesting!
Interesting! I just figured out yesterday that mine was also a cinnamon queen! Mine also took on the comb and interesting pattern.

She is alot like ours! Its nice to see what she might look like as she grows!

Im attaching the prairie bluebell image again... I think your dark starlight looks a lot like the potential momma coloring of the brown one here.

Hi all, my starlight green egger laid her first egg today! Just wanted to share for anyone who might benefit from the info. There isn’t much out there about this breed. She’s right about 4 months old.

Hi all, just a quick update. My other green egger laid today at 20 weeks old. Here are some photos for comparisons. She kind of looked like a welsummer but with white ear lobes so I wasn’t sure what color egg she would lay.
