Started the new coop build

Today I decided to build a better poop free feeder for the baby chicks. the other container warped due to heat. This one cost me $10 to build using a walmart sugar storage container, solo shot cups, gorrilla gel glue and clear silicone caulk. I designed the ports after the originals using solo shot cups. A hole saw for the cups to fit into the container and cutting the cups it fit the applications. Put gel glue around rim and press in, then I used silicone inside to secure the cups so they wont come loose and fall out. Feed will not spill out, chicks cannot waste the feed scratching it out as only their heads will fit in to eat.

Maybe not pour out, but definitely easy to drag/bill it out.
Best of cLuck.
not one bit.... but they did manage to turn it over digging around the sides so I had to mount it to a board like I did the other feeder I made. Works like a charm now, no waste and no poop in the feed. They can only fit their heads in to eat while they scratch outside where they stand. I have a video if I can figure out how to load it....

Just moved the water barrel into the coop and re-routed the plumbing to outside with a shut off for winter. Inside it wont freeze up and will provide water all winter. I need to place a Tie for now until they are big enough to reach the nipples. Everything is coming along well.

All the new girls went out to the coop today.... showed them the new water and feeder, so hope they adapt quickly on their own without the elders around anymore to teach them. I will check on them throughout the day. All are the same age but a few have grown double the size of the others ( Ameracuanas ) and the Buff Orphingtons look like runts? But they all get along well as all 12 were raised in a tub together til today. Weather has been 60-80 through the night and into the day, rain calling for tomorrow and this weekend but still on the warm side. Debating if I should put a heat lamp in the coop for the nights still or not? The coop is very ventulated but shouldnt have any drafts except at the entry door which I plan to hang flaps to help prevent any hard drafts from the winds... the way it is built I dont think wind will be an issue since its on the side and along the side of the garage. Ill post new pics later as I check on them
