How much starter feed will I need to raise 50 black australorps for the first 15 weeks?

You never know.
Buy one 20kg bag at a time. I always find I have some left over so don't buy too much.

Chicks need to be free fed so it will be more or less than possibly 10 bags of 50 lbs.

But you’ll probably need to switch to starter/grower before they reach 15 weeks. (It’s been a few months since I’ve raised chicks)

I’ll definitely try and keep track of that next spring just to have a better idea.

.... and don’t forget to take into consideration that chicks are messy and waste a lot of food. If money is a concern, you may want to make sure your feeder is as spill proof as possible and is designed to minimize waste.

We typically only need two or three 50 lb bags for 30 chicks so you may need 3 or four bags

Though I can say that it greatly depends on your chicks. Some individuals and specific breeds will eat more then others or less.
