Hey--what happened to that lady that was interested--I was starting to get excited! Nice little starter flock available in Central Indiana. Who can resist free, pretty, nice laying hens and a lovely rooster (who doesn't match, but that's how it goes!) To good home only!!
I'm here!! Sorry that I did not get back here right away it has been crazy here. My DH and I talked about it and he wants to wait for more birds. He would like to build on to the coop and that will not happen before winter.
I am so sorry to get you excited then have to let you down. I hope you find them a good home. I would have loved to add them to my group of spoiled birds.
Netherfeld Mom,
If you still have the hens, we'll take them. We have a brand new HUGE lean-to on the back of our barn that will house many more chickens than we have. Thankfully my other half is as crazy about the little things as I am. Just let me know what you have and we'll work on how I can get them.
It's a 20 x 65 coop area plus a 75 x 150 fenced in run area but we usually let them free-range when we're home. Currently we only have 43 chickens but we're looking to add to our flock. Our entire family loves them and the area neighbors certainly don't complain when they come to buy fresh eggs!
HOLY COW!!! That is a ton of room. In middle to late spring I'm going to have some cochin eggs (lots of colors) so if you are interested in cochins I can write your name down somewhere and you can tell me what you want.
Hi Illinois Kelly! I sent you an email, but just in case--do you want the roo too? He is beautiful. I wanted Barred Rock hens to match him, but don't have enough room. He is not tame per se, but handle-able. We would lube up his comb in winter and he's fine with that. We live about 1/2 hr. north of Indpls. Where are you coming from?
