We are starting our flock in Savannah! Currently we are brooding 2 Blue Copper Marans, 2 Buffs and an Easter Egger. We will be adding an Exchequer Leghorn, a Speckled Sussex, a Dominiquer, and as if our group was not varied enough, we are going to throw in a Buff Laced Polish. There will be about a month between our oldest and youngest chicks, but I am sure they will all grow to love each other!
We are also trying our hand at meat birds, with a couple of White Broilers coming in. I have not had any experience with these birds, so any feedback will be welcomed! The meat birds will be kept separate from the layers.
We are all about repurposing, and hope to create the coop from things we can find around town.
