Starting a small business... Any tips?

Good morning!

I'm trying to find some resources and courses that are helpful for starting a small business. I'm looking for anything from videos, articles, etc. I'm going to try some courses on skillshare, but does anyone have any helpful leads?

Check your local area for a small business group. There are often such groups where existing small businesses get together to share tips and will often mentor newbies.

I will say (from as a buyer), you want to make sure especially early on, that your reviews are amazing. When I look at sellers, I look for how many sales they've had, and their rating/reviews. The lower either is, the more I hesitate before buying, especially for live animals or expensive items

A small scale hatchery that focuses on breed preservation and quality genetic instead of mass producing for more sales.

One thing that helped me early on was putting together a clear pitch deck design to show my ideas and goals.

Even if it’s just for yourself or a small group, laying things out visually helps people understand what you’re trying to do.

I used mine to share with friends and family when asking for small investments or support, and having it prepared made me feel more confident.
