I see the pips! i'm so excited for you. I have canon something. It only takes 1 good pic out of 5! lol, but I have it on the close up setting and then zoom in so it wont be so blurry. I also have to angle it just right so I don't get flash from the incubator.

congrats! shes adorable! Isn't it the best?? My last zipper died but I have 16 beautiful chicks...the last eggs wiggled yesterday but did nothing today, but here's to hoping for a few more.

Awww gee, thanks kvmommy!!

i'm not going to domineer the board with every egg zip shot...i was just excited about my very first one...i guess it is survival of the fittest...started with 24 ended up with only 7 and there are 3 that i don't hear or see anything coming from them...i have a feeling those expired.....this first pip and zip was the smallest egg of the whole lot...and she is exhausted!!

how long does it take for them to fluff out?

question for those of you that have pipped and zipped -

obviously my hatch is going to zip at different times, is the high humidity and temps the hatching egg needs the same humidity and temp that the new hatched chick needs? My humidity goes up to 76%, then i remove one of those vent plugs and it goes down to about 72%....temp has been staying between 99 and 100 degrees...is that okay for a newly hatched chick??
