Starting from nothing

A question:

The chicks we're born March 25. Weather here hits an overnight low of about 55 at the moment. As you'll see from the previous pictures, the coop is in a fairly shady spot.

Do you think I can put my 6 RIR girls out yet, or wait a little bit longer? I plan to leave them locked in for a few days so they think of the coop as home for sleeping.

Still in the cage. They go in the coop as soon as my son comes home.

Last night was unexpectedly cold -- high 40s! I went out in the morning to feed the girls, and they were very excited and perky! Looks like it was indeed time. I imagine that the 4" or so of clean pine shavings helped as well. My kids are very excited for the first morning that the girls go out to play in the run....
