I started mine this past weekend. My 2 1/2 year old son loved "helping" with the building. So far so good. Good luck with your build.

Ooh, I'll check back and watch your progress! We are going to build our first coop soon too. We're growing out of our current coops and ready to try and take on the challenge.

gotta love the speed bumps you hit when your building something lol ... planed on using 1x6 red cedar planks .. and 2x4s .... turns out the cedar is too hard for most nails ... anything that will go through the 1x6s split the 2x4s ... =/ so ... gotta go get plywood .. and treat it ...
haha this was supposed to just be a 2 day project ..already on day 4 .. =/ lol .. (rain and snow arent helping eigther ... gotta love missouri wheather .. 65degrees one day .. snow the next ..

Missouri, sounds more like Michigan, it was almost 50 here on Monday, today is wednesday and it was 19 degrees this morning. The last time we got snow was last week, and the temps got into the high 40's in the afternoon, I shoveled snow in shorts and a tee shirt.
