Starting our Backyard adventure!

Hello!

We are the Wilsons! We are nestled in the western slope of Colorado at the edge of the Rockies. We live in a little city that allows hens in your very own backyard.
Our chicks are due to hatch around the 10th of December.
We candled a few last night and it is incredible to see the fragile, little life on the inside of the shell, kicking away!
I’ve already asked for advice on having winter chicks/late spring layers, so we are good to go so far.
We are so excited to see the littles hatch and grow! And I’m really glad I found this little forum!

Yes! My dad is a carpenter and he’s building me a custom city coop! They’ll have access to outside with nice sized chicken run attached to the little house!
