Starting out, MANY questions

Yeah there's a leak we patched. .. The roof/entire building is in rough shape, so we're just dealing with what we got for the next year or two, .... Not worth putting much more money into it.

Probably obvious but one can buy large tarps from Princess Auto, often on sale at great prices. I have seen folks drape them over roofs to shed the water, will last 1-2 years as long as they are secured and don't get blown off.

Water intrusions are bad, things rot and danger increases.

Been a while since I posted here. We now have 10 four week old chicks (Ameraucanas, Lavender Orpingtons & Silverudd Isbars) who have already stolen my heart. We're finishing up the run this week or early next. Just need to finish the hardware cloth (using 1/2in) which we're securing with washers and screws on the outside, and I will also trim the run so the HWC will be sandwiched between two layers. We added 8ft to the original structure so it's now 15x18ft.

Almost there it sure looks different now, I just peeked at the original pictures
