We recently had the unfortunate experience with MS in our flock of chickens, most likely came from welp hatchery. We have culled and sent some of our flock to be with personal households. But we are getting ready to start over now with new chickens. Hoping to start breeding and selling chick' as a NPIP seller. Wish me luck.

MS is that something like Maerks? or Multiple Sclorosis? I am a bit confused by the acronym.
MS is mycoplasma synoviae, it is a bacterium that chickens can get. After they have it they live with it forever and pass this bacterium on to their young as well through the eggs. That is why I had to start over. This bacterium comes in three different types and all are recommended to be depolpulated. It can occur in young chick' but also affect adults. The bacterium itself can be treated with antibiotics however it will still never go away. Also the bacterium does not kill the chicken itself but when combined with something else it can be fatal. I lost several laying pullets because of a combo with coccidia. Sorry for the long explanation
