I've got 20+ full sized ducks, but was advised by my daughter's 4H leader that we should get a couple of call ducks for her showmanship project next year.
I started out with ducks because I wanted to do an egg business and duck eggs resonated with me as being more marketable where I live, plus I've always wanted the little quackers and finally had an excuse!!
I really concentrated on egger ducks in everything I studied, call Ducks are all new to me and I'm wondering where to start learning about them.

Hey,

4-H is sooooo over loaded with call ducks about 85% of ducks at pro show this weekend were call ducks. I would seggest a light breed, such as a Runner or Dutch Hookbill

As a side note, Call Ducks are VERY small, and lay as few as a dozen eggs a year. most of my good calls laid about 25-35 eggs/year. And then if you get between 50%-75% is good.

Here's a couple Bantam Breeds that I can think of off the top of my head:

East Indies
Call
Silkies (Yes there are Silkie Ducks!)
Mini Overberg
Mini Silver Appleyard
Australian Spotted
Mallards
