My wife and I have a small (almost) farm here in Troy AL and are going to start raising rabbits.

I welcome any tips and suggestions, as well as anyone looking to sell a breeding pair or two to us. I'm not picky on breed right now because, just like we did with our chickens, I'm sure I'll make some mistakes before hitting our groove.

thanks for anything, and have a very blessed day!

Rabbits make a lot of urine and poop, so be prepared for that. I wasn't. The bucks stink and spray pee sometimes.

I though I could butcher until I got some bunnies. It takes more gusto than I have butcher adorable bunnies. They are very smart too, much smarter than they look.

Rabbits are fairly easy, housing can be expensive, and they are more work than chickens because of needing to separate everyone.

Decide if you want pet breeds or meat rabbits. Different requirements.
