Hello all! So glad to finally be a part of this community!
I've long wanted a flock of my own and have finally moved out of the city to a home where we can have them! We're in north central Texas, and though I had chicks when I was a kid, this is my first time with peeps of my own!
I have 8 red pullets (from Tractor Supply Co) and 2 straight-run Auracanas, though one looks like it's going to be a Leghorn (they might have gotten them mixed up maybe?). They're all around 5-6 weeks old and were just moved our of the bathtub and into their coop this weekend.
I am loving looking through these threads at all the good chick advice... it's so good to join!
Looking forward to living and learning the chicken life!
