That is scary! I'm sorry that's happening to you. What about a motion activated water sprinkler or alarm? I have heard of the motion activated sprinklers used for deer......

I think this is at a point where you should tell them you have had some problems.

Hmmmmmm....possums and racoons and skunks always leave broken shells when they have eaten eggs here. Eggs just disappearing sounds like some other predator.

I have sat up many a night eating popcorn and doing crosswords....waiting.

Eventually you will find out what/who is doing this. Hopefully sooner than later.

I put the babies back outside tonight with a more secure coop. I doubt I will be sleeping soon!!! Oh, and I counted eggs before leaving my house to pick my kids up, locked the door and took the key (instead of leaving it over the door like I generally do) and I came home to 6 eggs from my 7 hens instead of none. HMMMMMMMM

Instead of putting "This is a chicken hutch "on the box ,you should of put a sign that read BEWARE OF SNAKES on it . A friend of my lived in a neighborhood where all the houses were getting broken into. In the 5 years she lived there she never once had any problems.The sign at the end of her drive & on her doors read "BEWARE LOOSE SNAKES INSIDE" !
