so my chicks are about a month old now, today I saw them sparring a little. 2 of them would look at each other then jump up once or twice while flapping thier wings. no contact, they just jump up once or twice then both turn and go back to scratching around. It was pretty cool to watch

It is fun to watch but they are taking it very seriously. [IMG] All part of the pecking order. Mine were at their worst around 6 weeks when that chest bumping was often accompanied by a chase and a quick peck on the head. After that, they seemed to get it figured out without any bloodshed and are at peace. Gotta love it! [IMG]
