starving bunny

Bananas are also a major favorite! Ours also likes strawberry tops and cantaloupe. Timothy hay is healthier but ours seems to enjoy the alfalfa more. And normally, I would say fruit in moderation, but anything that will get him to eat will get him that much closer to getting better. I would give him some dewormer, who knows whats wandering around in that poor bunny

ETA: I don't know what the weather is like there but it might be worth it to go outside and see if you can find any clover or dandelion greens, too.

Snow is covering the ground now and winter storm on the way so don't think I will be able to find clover anywhere

. He ate a hole apple core overnight, and some pellets here and there and a couple bites of a carrot, and drank on his own. Temp is up he is moving around, eye are wide open, last night when I got him home he wouldn't even open his eyes. He was cleaning his self and has finally started to poo, and there is no diarrhea, normal looking pellets, I hope we are on our way up now.

Guess what!? I also got a silkie hen last night from the auction who looks to be in good shape, well I kept her in the house last night in dog kennel so she could eat and drink and relax, this morning she is broody!!!! I put 2 eggs in with her and she pulled them right in under her silly bird!

I'm so glad to hear that the bunny is doing better today. How sad that he was in such terrible shape! Auctions can be very sad places... Good for you, getting him out of there and treating him well. I hope he makes a full recovery and has many good years ahead of him!
