Whats your dream? Parents aren't always right. I have kids. Lay it on me, maybe I can help you win them over.

I really really really want to get into drama. I have had a passion for acting since I was about six and I recently chose out the college that I want to go to when I graduate high school in four years. however my parents think that the movie industry isn't healthy for pretty nieve girls.

Ok, Your in good shape.

I studied music and drama when I first got out of high school.

1. Remind them that their is more to acting that movies and t.v. (ie true theatre)
2. Remind them (and show them online) that theatre teachers make more money than regular ones.
3. Remind parent that people who are unhappy in their profession experience profound depression, and have
increased incidences of mental illness and unemployment.
4. Remind them that well married young ladies (not that you have to marry) can make a comfy leaving offering
drama lessons and substitute teaching, without having to wrk full time.
5. Involve yourself in community theatre so they can be blown away by your natural talents.
6. Get involved with Mizzoula childrens threatre (k-12) so they can again see how impressive you are.
7. Get a double major, something like theatre and education. Then, even if you never teach, they will see you
have a back up plan, and may allow it. (remind them it will only take an extra semester)

All of those are good idea's, the only problem is that they won't let me get involved in acting with school and stuff
