State a fact about yourself!

What symptom(s) is she showing? My mom is a cat & dog vet and small chance she may have advise..

Fixed pupils (wont dilate), dizziness, drowsiness, weakness in her neck, wings and legs, and this morning she kept almost falling over backwards. Someone told me on here that she may either have head or brain trauma or injuries.
That seems severe. With all those symptoms, I'd say there's a 5% chance of her surviving.

Again, I'm not an official vet. Yet.

Well, see ya, people. The critters are aching to be fed.

Is finally on!

Hey!

I know Sunni, and I know when she's in pain or suffering. I am not being selfish by keeping her alive. I'm keeping her alive because she seems happy and comfortable. Now, if she were to get worse or was in obvious agony, I would have her put down.

Im not keeping her alive because I don't want to lose her. Trust me, this morning I was really close to putting her in the car and taking her to be euthanized. But she is clearly better.

I will so what I know is best for her, and I'm sorry if you disagree.
I do think you are doing the right thing. And I am the kind of person, who doesn't care what the animal does for me I care about the animal. Since I do care about Sunni (even though she's not my chicken I care) I don't think that at this point she should be out down. If she seems to be better then there is a chance for her.

I'm a vet-in-training. Since I'm not there to see her injuries, I can't give you an accurate guess but from her symptoms, she seems about ready to hit the bucket.

Can you post a picture, MsChickenMomma?

My mom is a vet. And she says (without actually seeing her but knowing the symptoms) that she really shouldn't need to be put down if she seems to be improving like this. My mom thinks she may have a concussion but that should heal.
Again, neither of us can see the damage. My guess is that she'd better be culled, but That's up to the chicken's owner.
I'm not real experienced in Avians. I'm more experienced in equine and bovine.

All I ask is that you do not condescend to me.

Some of those symptoms are gone now. If she were in agonizing pain, I don't think she'd be walking all over the upstairs floor of our house and preening her feathers. Im sorry, but I don't need others to tell me what I should and shouldn't do with my animals. Trust me, I know when an animal is in agonizing pain or suffering in any way. She is so much better. Im not going to end her life when she is doing so well, just because a few people who haven't even seen her told me I should.

I am not trying to start a fight, but I don't think it's fair for you guys to be telling me what I need to do for my animals. Im the only one who truly knows them and what's best for them. Same as you for your animals.

You don't know anything about caprines, do you?
