Good idea! And you can also try popcorn or mealworms to keep her pecking the floor! Not the carpet!

I'm not sure if she'd be able to eat it...

She doesn't have a tongue, so some things are hard for her to eat. It might be worth a try though! I'll look into it.

Is really frustrated with a lot of things right now... Most of them have to do with the fact that it's getting down to -5 every night and I can't keep my animals warm enough.

Yup. Long story short, she ate a string when she was 10 weeks old. It got twisted around her tongue and when she would swallow food it would pull the string tighter and tighter, and it strangulated her tongue. We spent 3 months treating her for what we thought was Wet Fowl Pox, and one day when we were swabbing her tongue, it popped off.
