State a fact about yourself!

I wonder if the TSC by me has chicks yet. I love to watch them when they have them. The ducklings are fun to watch too.

Ours does. I got these little girls from them. My brother got three to.
Any idea of their breed? Both of the brown chicks wings are buffish white coloring. The yellow chicks wings are white.

Why? What's the matter with her?

Had to give her another warm epsom salt soak today she is having trouble passing her eggs she dropped the white not sure if the shell came out but her sisters were eating the white when I went out. She was standing very still and not chasing the others off or fighting with them or trying to mount them (she started this after the roo was culled.) I couple days ago she did the same thing and she got a warm soak and in the morning this is what she dropped had in the yard. She really likes the heat of the blow dryer but detests the water. So I am concerned that she is having some issues. She eats well and gets oyster shell. Thanks for asking.

So sorry about Rachel @hennotrooster :(
I had something similar happen with one of my hens. She layed 3 eggs with no shell, and I was really worried. Only, my hen is almost 5 years old, and those were just her last few eggs. Hope she gets better soon!

Thanks. She is good today running around and fighting, mounting and being just plain mean. She will be 2 in May. I guess she is going through some changes not sure but I am keeping an eye on her. She seems to really like the heat from the blow dryer.

Rested and relaxed.

I got almost all of my chickens from my grandpa, and they were all very sick and unhealthy. With two years of care, they are all healthy five year old hens. I have had 3 broody hens now, and I have gotten quite a few chicks from them. The only hen I wasn't able to nurture back to health was my hen named Henny. She has some brain damage (possibly dropped as a chick?) and she is half blind. She went through a faze where she could hardly walk, and we almost put her down. She walks fine now. She's basically my special needs hen. My grandfather used to kick the roosters, and he only cleaned the coop when he felt like it, which was almost never. Their coops used to have a foot of manure in them. I no longer had a relationship with him, and this is one of the reasons. He was never a nice person... Never will be either. I'm just glad that I gave my hens a nice long life.
