Ooh, sounds exciting! What's it about? May I ask?
Well. Uhm.....

It's from the perspective of a 14 or 15 year old girl. It takes place just after the apocalypse. Somehow she hasn't died (it was a combination of freak storms and a fatal illness), and is instead mutating to fit her new surroundings. She finds other people in the city, who are eerily around the same age as her-- maybe 3 years' difference at the most. She and five others set out to survive, but realize they aren't the only things to have mutated. There are large wolflike creatures that keep trying to kill them. The group of survivors start mutating by simply surviving, but then everything becomes more bizarre when the main character's younger sister (the other survivor in the family) discovers she can shapeshift into different animals. Everyone begins to grow dragonlike wings and they discover they can fly and turn into dragon creatures that each breath a certain substance. For example, Kitsune, the little sister, can breath molten silver. Yes, overrated is the point. You'll see why.

So then they are tricked into coming to a government facility by Shine, another character in the group that everyone secretly hates, and there they wake up. From a simulation. The entire thing was fake, caused by an experimental drug (because what's more fun than drugging otherwise innocent children?). However, they still have their wings (surgeries took place while they were drugged). Shine is ordered to kill them and they find out she is secretly a psychopath that was against them the whole time. Anyways, they escape, Shine attempts to kill them with deadly neurotoxin, fails epically due to the fact that she got distracted by a button, and ends up killing herself because of a malfunctioning valve in the neurotoxin chamber, the others are recaptured, split up, and sent to different facilities for more testing, Shadow (main character) wakes up while on the transport truck, finds that her sister is dead on the truck with her (an emotional reactions test), flies into a fit of rage, ends up destroying everything, blah blah blah. It eds with her escaping from the now blown-up remains of the truck, flying away and thinking about how to find her other friends, if they're still alive.

Yeah. Messed up. Also my friend is writing the even more messed up sequel, from another mutated dragon person's perspective. Shadow dies. And I get to write the last book (because trilogies are just that epic), where there's only one person left. Meh.

I will send the passages that are messed up if need be. CAn you top that? :p
