oh... i thought that they killed for feathers and/or for fun O3OJust for their feathers? Most falconers generally hunt for the meat, as the feathers are ruined after the hawk/falcon/buzzard is done with it. The meat doesn't go to waste either; either the falconer eats it, or the bird whom caught it does.

Now with smaller birds of prey, such as Kestrels, Sparrow Hawks, and Merlins, the small birds and mammals caught are only for sport to exercise the bird and to feed it.
