Another fact...... I have a house on 40 acres! Only 19 chickens now (down from 21) and a few feral cats!

I have exactly 40 acres too! but I have 22 chickens I had 19 before I recently got 3 more.

Might get hens from a very nice lady in Georgia who can't keep them, she is looking for a more local home 1st though. She is a BYC member, that's how I know her. I think she said there were 13.

Next November my Spanish teacher is taking students to costa rica for 8 days, and I want to go but it's during basketball season... and I love basketball. If I miss basketball = won't get a lot of playing time even though I'm one of the best... My mom says she wants me to go because it will be a once in a lifetime experience, but I don't know! Basketball season goes all the way through January so I can hopefully earn my way back up to lots of playing time. Ergggg

You should go to Costa Rica. When my daughter was in high school she had an opportunity to go to France and Sweden I saved for 2 years for her to go and never once did I regret sending her. She had the time of her life and saw so many interesting things and took over 700 photos. It really was a once in a life time experience and so worth it. I encourage her to travel while she is young because she may never have the chance when she gets older. She has been to France, Sweden , Grande Caymans, Cancun and Mexico's Mayan Temples.
