My house is about 15 years old. Despite the new age, you can still hear creaking above the garage (other placed too, but mainly above the garage) at night (too noisy in the day to hear).

I said this a while back, but my PC's coolant got spilled everywhere. Today, I remembered I had dog biscuits on my desk at the time that got soaked in it. My dog may have ate them, sadly. That stuff is very lethal, and I've said before I had a young little kitty that we got from the shelter that drank a small amount and died.
