State a fact about yourself!

What don't they allow? Also, what coop did you decide on?

Before we build a coop, we have to show the plans to our city council and make sure it's okay before we build it. We also have to get a permit for the coop. :/ We haven't decided on a coop yet though.

Our city council is very strict when it comes to chickens.

Couldn't you design one? I couldn't imagine building a coop just from a design. I prefer to use parts of existing designs and make it more personalized.

my newest coop looks like a shed..6x6x6tall walls with a peaked roof making it 8 high..I put down tile on bottom, hubby can make the walls in my garage and paint them then we can simply put together.. going to have 6 nest boxes on one wall and a six foot long perch on the other..got some awesome louverd vent covered with screen for $1....I am lucky i live in an unincorp. town basically nothing counts unless they can tax you for it .. i put up a 28 ft rnd pool no permit.. but i used to live where they wanted plans for everything sometimes they just want general dimensions placement and height..

I may build a chicken tractor, soon. Basically, I'd use 4x4s for run frame. The coop goes on top of this frame, above the run. Four 4x4s, from the frame, will extend up to make use as a frame for the housing part of the coop. Just put some plywood on the sides, then place a roof. Doesn't seem like that hard of a plan. Of course, it sounds heavy for a tractor.
