My hair is so long my kids regularly are like "OMG! ITS SADAKO!!!! RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!"

Sadako is that evil person coming out of the TV from Ring... I think? Or the Grudge. It's huge in Japan and a great way to entertain the kids.

How were they going to slaughter them? And why would they release it to the public if it was inhumane

They were going to do kosher slaughter. People call it humane, but it is actually the most inhumane slaughter practice. It creates a long, and extremely painful death. I would show you a picture, but it is so bloody and sad I shouldn't.
