I get that if someone is religious, they can do a religious ceremony. Nothing wrong with that.

Don't get why they do it to babies, though. Sounds very dangerous to dunk some poor kid into the water. Plus, doesn't it ruin the purpose of the ceremony?

Unfortunately, they did it to babies in freezing weather in the old fashioned days and thats when it was dangerous. :/ Crazy people.

Yeah it was sad. Now days though they sprinkle water on infants instead of dunking them. Unless they are able to say they want to be dunked. Like a 4 y/o was super excited to get dunked today, she was soooo cute and she came out of the water giggling. xD
