I hate that the "Stay Logged In" checkbox defaults to being checked! As someone who logs out each time, I have to un-check it... EVERY TIME. If I were going to stay logged in, I would only have to check it ONCE and never see it again.

Does this bother anyone else? :barnie

Same thing for me!
I have just gotten used to unchecking 500 times a day!
:th

Having it the way it is now might help peeps to stay logged in longer?
Might be better for them?

What happens if you don't uncheck the box and log out here?

I like being able to stay logged in, especially since I alternate between devices to get here and don't want to mess with logging in and typing my password on a dinky phone keypad. But I don't understand, for those who prefer not to do that, why if that box is unchecked it shouldn't stay that way. Is a puzzlement.

I was just joking. :p
I was happy to not be alone in hating it. :D

This is a dumb question, but why not just leave yourself logged in? I'm curious is all. I stay logged in all the time so I don't have to keep putting in my password :p

Personal preference.

The box is still checked next time you come back to log in again. Every device, every browser, every time.

iOS has a nifty function for saving passwords, as do most browsers, for people who want passwords to be saved internally. Most of them, including my phone, knows my ID and my password. So I never have to retype them.

I just logged out, without unchecking the box, got logged out no problem. I'm not sure if I'm missing something, why uncheck the box? Do you not want to have to log out every time you leave the site?
