So since moving into a coop and run at 5 weeks my two chickens spend their days in the run... Pretty much whatever the weather, and at night they go into their coop (themselves).
But the last 2 days when I let them out they both charge out and then the pullet goes back in, which in turn means our cockerel follows and seems a little lost. Sits by her for a bit inside or waits by the door.
She does come out but most of the morning she's in and out, as in sits in there for a while or sits in there looking out of the door.
I don't see any signs of close to egg laying as in she pecked me this morning as I reached down, no squatting. Her legs look yellow, comb hasn't got redder or bigger that I can tell. She is 14 weeks... Any ideas? Seems okay in herself in the afternoon and stays out longer.
Oh, but one of the nest boxes has had the straw pulled out and some poop in it, that's a first as they never went near them before?!
Suggestions welcome, I don't want it to be something wrong that I'm not picking up on.
Thanks.
Ps. Yes I'm getting more hens for the rooster, haven't seen him overly harassing her, bar one day a few weeks back over a treat. He hasn't tried mating her or anything yet.

It's nice out at the moment but still only 21-24 degrees for the last few days (I'm in England we don't often get too hot!).
We did have a mini heatwave about a month ago up to like 36 degrees or something and didn't notice the behaviour then but I could be wrong?!

Then it is likely that she is just being over-bred and when the roo gets some more hens it will get better.

Funny I've just come on to say I've seen him chasing her around just now so I think she is just trying to get somewhere away from him. He must be annoying the hell out of her sitting in wait all the time. Poor girl. I hope to go at the weekend for 2 new hens but then there's the quarantine period! I'm a bit worried about her now. Can't separate him and quarantine the new hens
