Do those that use the stc 1000 thermostat control find that the temperature censor is acurate.

I have one in my homemade incubator. I have hatched 2 batches out of the incubator. Yes, Mine seems to be fairly accurate.

2 40 watt appliance bulbs. I might could have gotten away with 1 but I figure if one goes out the other will work until I can get it changed. I used appliance bulbs hoping they would be a little "tougher" than standard incandescent bulbs. I don't know if they are or not.

What did you set your stc at F1 and F2

I built a hatcher and a incubator using this and I'd say both are pretty accurate. For F1 just put 38 Degrees celsius and F2 .3
I use 2 40 watt bulbs on the bottom and a (1) 60 watt on top.

Do you have a fan in your incubator or not.

I use a STC-1000 > for both my cabinet incubator and hatcher. Both are fairly accurate, depending on where you place the sensor. It takes some experimenting to figure out where to place it to make the temp even. Mine hasn't been perfected to get even temp throughout, but that's probably due to their large size. I might add another fan on the top, pointing down, to help circulate the air more.

What are the cabinet yes made from?
