It is nice to put a voice (and a face) with a name. Very pretty up on your mountain.

Just got done running new ethernet cables through the drop ceiling at work - the old one crapped out (it was 13 years old) and we could only network by running a cable along the floor - definitely NOT OSHA standard. That tile stuff that falls into your eyes is yucky.

Yikes is that tile stuff, ASBESTUS????? A lot of that old stuff was. If so you definitely should not have it in your lungs.
Cindy does have a beautiful shady place . Those oaks of hers are to die for. Someday its my dream to fence off my place so my chickens can free range some. I have a long grassy area between me and the creek. About 300 ft. of it. But!! it is out in the open without cover. The hawks I think would have a hay day.
Its lightly snowing here. About 30 degrees with wind , Ouch! it hurts and pinches your cheeks when I get out in it. We are not use to this yet.

I sometimes forget that Gloria Jean has been up here. Gloria Jean, we thinned out quite a lot of the trees on the extra three acres past the perimeter fence last year to get a better view and more sun. I've loved being able to watch the skies and the seasons better but we still have plenty of privacy. We left most of the trees around the house and coops, though. And the evergreens we planted many years ago have matured into huge shade trees and shrubs and great year round cover for the chickens.

My poor DH just was unlucky enough to be doing his ramp dance when I had my camera on video, lol. Poor guy.

I've done my own dance quite a few times on the uneven ground here. A couple of times I have kissed it rather hard. The last time was when I fell and broke my wrist. NOW I am more careful for sure.
Cyn. I remember the hill leading up to your house and you were working on it some when I was there last. I bet it is really pretty now. This place is nice too. I love the open area down to the creek. But since one of the neighbors passed away his Son has gone beserk shotting. WHY??? I am not sure. So far no one has been hurt.

I hope no one is until he matures enough to quit some of that nonsense.
I was looking at my White Orp roo this evening and his comb looks dark on the tips. I guess it is the wind, he was not like that this morning. I sure hope this weather lets up just a bit for a time. I need to incorperate a Faverolle and GNH, and a Dom. into my flock. I moved the GNH and Dom. into the area with the young Fav. So far so good. I just dreed putting them into the group with the other orps. I still have a 1/2 Eng. Blue orp. hen and she is not very forgiving of any newbees in her pen but it has to happen.
