Small run on the honey extraction today. Made a short video for my FB friends if you want to take a look-see.

And look at what we pulled from the garden today!

5 gallon bucket of broccoli (last batch before it bolts)
small tote of carrots (final harvest, we've been eating the fingerlings/thinnings for weeks)
small tote of onions (about half of what was out there)
large basket of cabbage (keeping one, giving 2 to family, selling 2)
5 qt bucket of peas
small bunch of lettuce. Most of the lettuce is starting to bolt so it's just about done.

Bring on the summer veggies!

Rinda, really liked your honey video. Bet all that equipment costs a bundle on top of the outdoor arrangements for hives of bees. Sorry I don't know the correct terms. But I have heard so much honey in the grocery stores, especially in the little bear shaped bottles, isn't really pure honey at all. ,BYC bee folks I DO trust.

The video was really interesting. Glad to hear the garden is doing good.

Wow - look at all that produce! Beautiful! I planted my cool weather crops (much smaller home garden) last month. Everything came up but it's been way too cool - and wet - this spring. They are all sitting there, about an inch high, nowhere near ready for even a first harvest. I never saw such a slow start to spring around here. Here in the northeast we had no winter and now no spring - weird weather.

I have only put in cool weather crops too - and my lettuce and peas area just little seedlings. Right now we are in the Daffodil season, with trees yet to leaf out, although my Rhubarb is taking off well and I see the rasberries are getting a move on.
