Stella's Social Club

What kind of duck is this? Some kind of shoveler? Very pretty.

Now THAT is a broody mama!
We get Canada geese nesting around here too. Hmmmm, something else to incubate, LOL
Michael and Tucker went up the gravel driveway behind the house on the Polaris just now. There was a six foot rattlesnake crossing the driveway.

Looks like a gopher snake, one of the good guys!

By the way Border collies are superb goose patrollers - they use them on golf courses around here - they are wolf like to geese and their 'stare" really spooks them.
They use them to keep the birds off the runways here.

OOps. Michael said to tell you he knew that.

What is Tucker doing?

If you said hiking on the Bear River and getting a burger at In-N-Out you'd be correct!

Anyway, here it is without being edited down. It is 30 minutes long!!
I need Mary to take it and edit it!

Kathy, Great video! The goose did not know what to do with those five tall geese looking things, getting ready to play with her eggs!

Tomorrow morning I have a special post going up on my blog. It is the 40th anniversary of our surviving the detonation of thousands of bombs en route to Vietnam. Anyone who lived in this area and is my age will remember when the trains exploded. My house was almost completely destroyed but my husband, children and I survived. I would be honored for my friends here to read the post. I have worked on it most of the day. Very emotional to bring it all back up. I scheduled the post to go live at 8:03 a.m. the exact time the first bomb went off.
