Hey everybody. Lucky us. Two roaming neighborhood pit bulls moved in on our property today. They are making themselves right at home running around our wrap-around deck. Michael chased them off about an hour ago and, minutes after he left for town, they returned. After Michael chased them off the first time we saw that our fainting goat Shirley was out of the fenced pasture and in the yard. I don't know how she got out, but she won't last very long with those loose dogs. Two days ago we found a dying cat on our deck. Looked like it's neck was broken. I guess how that happened is no longer a mystery. Here we go again, another home ruined by pit bulls. Welcome to California.

I am slowly starting the moving process. Today I added roosts to the coop and stained it. Forgot to get pic's.
I will level it tomorrow.
So I got 2 crele penedesenca eggs in 2 days then nothing the last two. What gives?

The person before us decided to leave me a bunch of stuff decided whatever she did not want to take she would just leave ...

Can you catch them somehow and call animal control.
Placer county is the same as Eldorado I believe. If they are harming your livestock you can shoot them.

Dr. Winchester makes house calls.

Thanks Cooper but we are in Nevada county now. Placer county Animal Control is useless. They will rarely come out. You have to actually be under attack. When they do come out they always side with the dog owners totally useless. I had this picture of my neighbor's JRT's on my proerty, one of them running and snarling at me. He claimed they weren't on my property and that was the end of that. You can even see him in the picture! It always goes in favor of the dogs.

I am going to call Nevada county on Wednesday and see what rights we have, if any and if they enforce the rules. I was afraid to go out on my own deck in the dark tonight. I can't run from pit bulls.

That is right. Are you a Auburn zip code but in Nevada County like lake of the pines? Never could figure that one out.
