This did not work for me. I used 40 lb heavy game. I have heard if you use 100lb heavy game test in a pattern like this or a grid pattern and a hawk try's to dive bomb then the hawk will not make it

My lines are a foot apart on the outside, tapering down to 1" on the pole. No way a hawk can come through with it's wings intact, and they know it. Leave a gap, and they know it.

OMG Kathy! I am so excited for you. When browsing pictures the other day for my blog post about the time spent at the first Buck 'n Run Ranch I ran across all the baby emu pictures. They have to be the cutest things on earth. The bond they form with you from day one is nothing you can experience with a chicken. I could take a baby emu for a walk down the long dirt road and she would stay right beside me. I love how they run to meet you all the time and love to be held and cuddled. Everything from the day they hatch to the day they break your tooth is special!
