Mary aside from love, Tucker is showing alot of brain power. I've known dogs to shadow their people and be near them every chance they got. I've never known one to have the foresight to bring creature comforts with him. Really to bring his bed, and blanket is on par with human thinking .

There are dogs that will pull clothing items down so they can lay on them or gather laundry for the same purpose, especially items that bear the owners scent. Tucker think s ahead he wants to be by Mary but, he wants to be comfortable at the same time. The average dog would go to Mary and then tired of laying on the floor or whatever, would roost on some furniture nearby.

I would love to test his behavior to see what other brain skills he possesses. I'm not over thinking this. People studying chicken behavior notice some exhibit brain power way beyond that of their flock mates.

Alot of what he does/doesn't is related to his prior abuse .- He may have been left alone for long periods so he shadows his people worried that they may abandon him. His bed/bedding is a comfort to him - it has his scent all over it.
