Being broody is harder than it seems

I think you must be right, Diva. I spend an inordinate amount of time in my [Enchanted] recliner, with a perfect view of Punkin brooding in the dog bed under the TV set cabinet.

She really does move those eggs around a lot. She frequently rearranges the loose feathers she has plucked, carefully putting each in just the perfect spot. Yesterday, she found one of Beth's feathers in the dog bed; she picked it up, looked at it quite a bit, set it aside to finish tucking her own feathers beneath her body JUST SO, then retrieved Beth's feather to tuck it ... Someplace special, I guess. Close to her heart?

Beth misses Punkin's company. Unfortunately, Punkin screams at her when she approaches, now that she's gone broody. But they do hang together during the Daily Constitutional Break when Punkin rushes outside to take care of business. However, she does everything at breakneck speed, so Beth gets left behind, leisurely dust-bathing in her personal fox-hole when Punkin dashes back inside the house.

If the cat walks by that dog bed, look out!

I got chicks from Sandhill today. from last summer. Deb is still waiting.
I got 12 black penedesenca which is what I wanted 1 was doa though

also some exchequer leghorn going to Deb and some red leghorn Deb to
