When I went out to lock up tonight, I thought the roost in the layers coop looked awfully empty.....




I think I was in the "Broody Coop," instead of the "Layers Coop!"

OH, there are more broodies in the other coops, too! Here is one Barred Rock..

There are Peregrine Falcons in Missouri.

that is a strange bird, has a tiny beak if it's supposed to be a raptor. Kathy, hope you are feeling better

Kathy, it appears to be a Mississippi Kite Hawk....
Good news is that most feed only on insects/very small rodents. Can be fairly territorial around nesting area like Martins....can exhibit 'diving' type maneuvers etc.
